a practical mystic
Ellyn is a sensible person who grew up in the Midwest. She left in her late teens and lived many places and did many things. Although she fancies herself a bit of a gypsy; she finished college and got her Master’s Degree in Theology from an established Eastern seminary.
At an early age, she became interested in the study of God. These interests led her to womanist and feminist theologies and then to the Goddess.
Ellyn is a certified yoga instructor and lifelong dancer. She is committed to helping people find a yoga and/or movement practice that helps people feel comfortable in their bodies and more content in their minds.
Her main work is as an advocate, teacher and leader addressing poignant societal issues such as domestic and sexual violence, youth homelessness, child abuse and exploitation. In this practical and difficult work, hope and strength are critical necessities for all involved.
Her interest in the Tarot began in the late 1990’s. She found the cards to be a powerful tool for accessing deeper guidance and intuition. Not of the woo-woo sort, she utilizes the Tarot to provide strategies and assistance for living more in line with your purpose. She read for friends and parties for a number of years, and started reading professionally in 2013.
She wrote a book, Singing With the Sirens, published by She Writes Press in 2015, with colleague, friend and co-author, Stacey Ault Bell. Ellyn and Stacey formed a partnership business called Bella Invictus…. hence beautiful unconquerable soul.
