The bravest heroes in life are not always obvious. Neither are the heroines.
Much more is written about our heroes than our heroines, so first, we’ll be focusing on the heroines. They are not she-roes, as some might say. No, they are the feminine of hero. Strong, brave, loyal, true… and not only in the physical, but also in the mental and the spiritual. Everyday heroines that no one really talks about, or even notices, are around you and me all the time. We just have to see them. We might even be them.
Women from all walks of life perform heroic acts of kindness, justice, and courage all the time, all over the world. I want to know these women. I want to write about these women. Perhaps you are one of them.
Write to me, tell me about your bravery. Tell me about your pain, your triumphs, your will and ability to overcome. The travels through our individual and collective darkness, fear, vulnerability and shame make us stronger, brighter lights.
I believe in heroines. Real, tangible, flesh and blood women with a purpose are needed right now. We’ve got work to do.
Beautiful unconquerable soul is you.
